After 10 years of our annual gingerbread festival, Habitat for Humanity Northumberland is launching something brand new — The Great Gingerbread Build-Off!
This festive fundraiser has a big goal: together, we need to raise $30,000 to support Habitat’s build program and help more local families achieve safe, decent, and affordable housing.
TEAM BUILD CHALLENGE: Teams of 4 compete for the Gingy Cup!
On Thursday, November 20th, local businesses and community leaders will gather at The Mill in Cobourg for a one-of-a-kind holiday showdown: teams competing to design and decorate the ultimate gingerbread creations — all while raising critical funds to build homes, communities, and hope!
FREE KIDS WORKSHOPS: 8 sessions over 3 weekends!
And this year, kids and families can join in the mission too! Our FREE Kids’ Gingerbread Workshops invite children to create, learn, and have fun — while directly contributing to Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a safe place to live. This is an event where children get to roll up their sleeves and play a part in Habitat’s work.

So you have decided to embark on entering a team. Head to our registration site to become one of the 15 teams competing for the Gingy Cup. May the odds forever be in your favour.
Kids' Workshop Registration
Registration for the kids' workshops is open. There are limited spots per session.

Please sign up for each child that would like to decorate an individual gingerbread house.

Each registration will include 1 pre-built gingerbread house, icing and candy to decorate

This is a peanut-free event, however we cannot guarantee cross contamination or that all food has been processed in a peanut-free facility.
