Habitat for Humanity Northumberland's Sunday Dinner sells out in record time

On Sunday April 13th, 2025, the Cobourg ReStore will once again be transformed to host the fifth annual Sunday Dinner in the ReStore. This extremely popular event has a limited capacity of 120 seats and was sold out even before advertising and marketing efforts were in full swing. Sponsorship packages were released for the event in early February, which included tickets, and were scooped up leaving only a few individual tickets for sale. The remaining tickets were quickly sold to people who are registered for the monthly newsletter upon announcing the event.

“We’re thrilled that we have once again sold out in record time,” says CEO Cathy Borowec. “It’s amazing to see so many people who want to attend and continue to support our programs.” Although the event is primarily focused on the gathering of people around a table on Sunday night, a family tradition, Habitat will be taking the opportunity to update guests on the progress they’ve made on their projects over the last year.

Over the last four years, this fundraiser has raised over $70,000 helping to fund Habitat’s build projects including our current seven-unit net-zero townhomes in Baltimore.

Dinner sponsors for this year’s event include Part Time CFO Services, Jacqueline Pennington Re/Max Real Estate Team and Borowec Inc. The theme for the dinner is “Spring Thyme”, which is tastefully woven into the décor and menu crafted by Prep Food Co. Guests will enjoy cocktails, and canapes followed by a three-course meal.

Additional sponsors include Wine Sponsors; Schmidt Law Legal Services, Schmidt Law Legal Services Scott McCracken, Meaghan Adams Law, Structural Panels, Robyn Mumford Real Estate. Dessert sponsors include Linmac, Justin’s Pet Store, Racine Financial, Racine Law, Doug and Bridget Smith, The Mortgage Centre, and Copeland & Co Re/Max Real Estate. New this year is an expanded silent auction table, with items generously donated by businesses all over Northumberland County.
