In 2024, Habitat for Humanity Northumberland embarked on an exciting journey of growth and renewal. We also saw seasoned members of our staff move on to new and exciting roles outside of Habitat, which meant we welcomed a new talented group of staff members who bring fresh perspectives, skills, and enthusiasm to our team.
This year we welcomed a new CEO, Cathy Borowec, who has brought a wealth of knowledge having worked at this Habitat, other affiliates and Habitat Canada in the past 22 years.
We have also welcomed Michael Maka & Adam Magomedov to our construction team. Drew Taylor and Rose Wilton to our affiliate team and Trevor Grundy to our ReStore team. We could not be more thrilled with their wide range of skills and expertise, enhancing our capacity to deliver on our mission. The enthusiasm and passion of our new staff members have injected a renewed sense of purpose and energy into our organization.
With our new staff members on board, we're poised to make an even greater impact in our community, helping more individuals and families access safe, affordable housing.
As we look to the future, we're excited to see the incredible contributions our staff members will make. Together, we'll continue to work towards creating a world where everyone has a decent place to call home.
