Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
What is the time commitment?
We ask that build volunteers commit a minimum of 1 full day on the build site. Our days run from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Construction is scheduled Tuesday to Friday. Register with Volunteer Base and check the events calendar. For our ReStore, we prefer that our volunteers commit to a total of 40 hours.
Do I need any construction experience?
No, our friendly, skilled staff and trained volunteers will teach you everything you need to know. Volunteers are led by the construction team who will assign tasks throughout the day in order to get the job done. You will never be asked to do anything you are uncomfortable with. This is a great way to learn more about construction and building.
Do I need any training before building?
Yes, every volunteer must complete a mandatory safety training. See each page for the applicable safety training and quiz.
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
